Drool Is a Way of Life

Just the sweetest smile ever!
"I'm starting to drool, Mom!"
"I'm still drooling!"

A Game of Cat and... Grant

This blog is for Sarah! So, Grant has tummy time every morning after his first nap. Oscar decided to join him the other day. I think they are both just so curious about each other, but aren't sure how to behave.

"I'm going to get this toy before you!"

"No! It's mine!"

I Love to be Naked

I went to get Grant from a nap one day, and he had completely kicked off his blanket. We had him scantily clothed because it was so bloomin' hot! Anyhow, here's a picture of my sweet boy!

Playtime and Bathtime

"I have a question, Mom!"

"Hi, Mom! I love tummy time!"
"I will get this toy! You can't keep me from it!" He was determined to get this toy. He kept pulling the blanket closer and closer to him... and sure enough... he got that toy! :)

Tippi and PawPaw

Tippi and PawPaw came over yesterday for a late lunch and play time with Grant. We played Scrabble and enjoyed each other's company. Here are a few pics:

New and Exciting Things

Grant does so many things now. It's amazing how much he changes every day. This morning he was playing in his bouncer, and he just kept reaching for the toys. He pounds on the buttons to make them play music, and he "rakes" at the rattler to make it spin. Occasionally, he'll look at one of the toys and just break out into a huge smile. I love to watch him.
Just now, I was putting him down for a nap. I checked on him and he was just giggling. Remember: there is nothing else in the crib but him. He apparently thought he was being very funny.
His hands are his favorite toys. They are ALWAYS in his mouth. It's actually starting to gross me out a bit, because whenever I go to kiss him on his hands or cheeks, I get a mouthful of slobber. Not the most appealing taste in the world! Here's a picture of him trying to put BOTH hands in at once:

"Grant, look at the camera for mommy!" "No!" He's already learning how to show mom that it is his way or the highway! He looked every direction, but at me!

Gary was playing with Grant this morning. He loves this teddy bear. We keep it on his changing table, and when we change his diaper, we'll let him play with it. Not that we need to distract him... he still LOVES to get his diaper changed.

Oma and Grandpa

After leaving Dallas, we stopped at my parent's house. Michael and Dad had to work today, but mom, Robin, Gary, Grant and I hung out today. The girls made a new dinner tonight: Cheddar Stuffed Tex-Mex Meatloaf Patties with Scallion Smashed Potatoes and Spicy Pan Gravy. Yummo (Rachael Ray, of course)!

Grant has just been rolling in laughter this weekend. This is a new thing for him. He has laughed before, but since Saturday, if you get him laughing, he just won't stop. It's the cutest thing ever.

He's laughing again!

Uncle Mike, Grant and Aunt Robin

Ok, so Gary went on a jog today. Usually, he isn't gone for more than 20 minutes. After about 45 minutes, I started to get worried. Robin and I got in the car and started driving around to see if we could find him. Nothing. We went back to the house, and I waited 10 more minutes. He still didn't show up. I decided I was going to go walk all the trails around the neighborhood to find him. As I left the house, Gary walks up with this big stick. Apparently, he was so engrossed in this great walking stick he found, he lost track of time. He almost gave me heart failure, but at least he'll have a great STICK to walk with the next time we come to see my parents.
