A Heartbeat!

Gary and I went back to the doctor last Wednesday. Pretty much the same as last time with one huge difference: our baby had a heartbeat! We could both see it as plain as day on the ultrasound monitor. It was so neat! It was amazing the difference one week made. We could see all 8mm of our baby and the sac it lives in was huge. Seeing seven days of growth was really powerful... I am loving this experience! The baby is growing and so am I. I gained two pounds myself... in only seven days! I am blaming it on all the extra blood my body has produced. I have 50% more blood in my body than before I became pregnant. Maybe that is why they feel they can take so much of it at each visit. Grrrr.
